End of Term 2 Assembly

Our Mathletics Champs

Our Maths Whizzes have been working hard to achieve success. We have some champions in our midst. These students have scored themselves lots of points and a medal on their Mathletics accounts. Ka pai to Tyrone (Bronze medal), Francis E. (Bronze medal), Psalms (Bronze medal), Janisa (Bronze medal), Ofa (Silver medal), and Fisi'imoli (Gold medal). Don't forget you can log on to your Mathletics account at home and keep working on your points!

Orana Wildlife Park

Weka 3 and 4 had an amazing time at Orana Wildlife Park. We were very lucky to be shown around the park's experts. Thank you for having us and a big thank you to the parent help that came along with us, we wouldn't have been able to do it without you!

How Can We Save Energy?

In Weka 3 we have been talking about our environment in Aotearoa. We are lucky to live in such a beautiful country and are exploring ways in which we can take care of our country by keeping it clean and beautiful. We have talked about pollution, water conservation and power saving tips. This week we talked about power saving tips that we could try and use at home. We wrote these down in a lightbulb and are displaying these in the classroom.

Welcome Back

Kia ora koutou and welcome back to Term Two. We are pleased to be back and excited to share with you what we have planned. We hope you had a safe and happy holiday with whānau and friends and are ready to go with a fresh and rested mind.

A reminder that hats are no longer required, but children may like to continue to wear these as the sun is still shining brightly. Please also remember to wear full school uniform, if there are any issues with this see Mrs Draper at the office for a uniform pass.

Youthtown

Every Tuesday the Weka classes have a P.E. session with Youthtown.  We play lots of different games and learn loads of skills that we can use in other sports. Here are some action photos of us at Youthtown Sports.
